Life Contributor of the Month: April
Starting this month, I am going to post a little post about someone who has contributed to my life.
So, let’s start this off with my love, Taylor Ebersole. I don’t know where I would be without her. Before she “wrecked” my life, I was class IV obese, had no motivation, was straying from Christ, and content with living a mediocre life. Don’t ask me why I was okay with all of this, but I was. Looking back, I am still trying to figure out what she saw in me. I thank the Lord everyday for Him putting her into my life because I don’t know where I would be today.
When we started talking and dating she made it very evident that if God wasn’t in the center of our relationship, there wasn’t going to be one. I knew I needed to get back into the swing of things spiritually the entire time I was drifting away, but I just had no motivation to do so. But little did I know that God was going to use Taylor to get me back on track. Now, I’m closer to God and more involved in the church than I ever had been before. Crazy how God uses people for his purpose.
Then, it became very evident to me that education was important to her. One of the first things we talked about was how she couldn’t wait to graduate and go to grad school… Yeah, I barely had ambition to get an associate’s, but that too has changed. Once again, God used Taylor to show me my full potential. Now, I am actively pursuing my bachelor’s degree in a very promising field, looking into getting a master’s degree, and I am starting an internship, or possibly my first job in my career field next month.
Lastly, I vividly remember the day that I (then almost 350 pds) told Taylor that I would never step foot into a gym, I hated working out, and that I wasn’t that big. Yeah, let’s just say that I was wearing a size 44 pants were starting to get tight, I was class IV obese weighting almost 350 pounds, and I ate anything and everything at will… But yet, I thought I didn’t have a problem. Ha, that’s funny. Now, I am 240 pounds (lost over 100 pounds), wearing size 38 pants (they’re starting to get loose), and I eat what a person should eat, AND I feel better and healthier than ever before in my life.
In case it isn’t evident enough, Taylor changed my life for the better. I love her to death and could not imagine life without her.
You have always been amazing and never forget that, but for your health and education, thank God for a woman like Taylor being placed in your path and leading you to things that matter most in life; God, Health, Family, Education.
You will serve as an inspiration for others!
I love you,
Aunt Christy
